TVC: How To Become A Fashion Designer

i have been looking at different videos on how to become a fashion designer. these are useful as they give me an insight of other peoples experiences within the industry. Its nice to hear what goes on and what tasks are dealt with other than the design area.

here are my images before and after. i wanted to add more layers to the bottom of the dress as i liked the actual pose. i had to crop image to desired size, i then enhanced the colour. i copied and pasted the layers of fabric to create an ellusion of movement and fabric. i airbrushed her face and body to give a more prestine look. i think this image has turned out well considering i am not an expert on photoshop. I have used this as one of my final four images in my negociated project.

this is some of my pattern. i had to create a diary of my process eek by eek. the pattern for this dress as quite difficult. having to create so many sections. i eventually got there in the end and as so pleased ith my final out come. all the hard ork and stress paid off.

here is some of my inspiration boards . my inspiration is cros and bosy movement, i like ho the body can immitate a bird flying.

 this is research into coco chanel. although i have done previous research on her. this as essetial for my LBD project as she is the founder of it. my theme is eccentric elegance. and i ant my dress to be differenet yet beautifully elegant.



this is my pret-a-porter board historic and contempary, i looked at yves saint laurent, as he as one of the first designers to make and sell mass produced clothing making it easier for omen to make fashion forard choices.
i also look at betsy johnson ho ons a number of stores orld ide selling ready to ear.




this is one of my boards for contempory haute couture, i looked and researcherd into John Galliano. his ork is breath takingly good!!



this is my historic board of christian dior. he made beautiful big gons and dresses, pulling aay from comfortable clothing hat coco chanel had made so popular.

I came across this very interesting video. My final major consists of a lot of embelishment. Its nice to see how the professionals do it. Its a lot of hard work that has been put into this outfit.
